Lake Todd Village District volunteers conduct regular testing of the lake in conjuction with the State of New Hampshire Volunteer Lake Assessment Program (VLAP). which provides finanial assistance to the Colby Sawyer Water Quality Laboratory which analyzes our samples.
Samples are taken at least three times a year at a number of locations around the lake. A nearly continuous record of these tests has been maintained since 1988. Full reports with graphs are provided every 2 years. The most recent graphs (2009) show results similar to other similar lakes in the state, and essentially constant levels of phosphorus, for example, and a slight decline in transparency.
